This list was sent by ten year old Kairavi whose only gripe was, ‘top ten? How can there be top ten? There can be top 2000, but top ten?’ But thankfully, she grudgingly decided to choose only ten.
- Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
Because each book has a thrilling plot, the way the magic gradually becomes more complicated in each book.
- Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan
Because I like the way the Greek myths are combined with modern stories. Makes it more enjoyable.
- Fabelhaven by Brandon Mull
Because it’s a really good mystery. I like the way the main character gets to know more and more about FabelHaven. I want to read the whole series – it may even be better than Harry Potter!
- Witch Wars Sibéal Pounder
It’s a really funny and enjoyable book. The magic and riddles add to its charm.
- One Dog And His Boy by Eva Ibbotson
This is a really touching story. I like the different people the characters meet on the journey and how they find homes for all the dogs.
- Awful Auntie by David Walliams
It’s super funny and the tricks characters play on the Auntie had me laughing a lot.
- Diary Of A Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney
I really enjoy reading about Greg’s life and I also liked reading about his thoughts
- Hiedi by Johanna Spyri
I liked reading about her life in the mountains and what all she did, the language was very simple and nice, and not like other books these days. She has so many phases in her life and how she gets to live in different places, and the people she meets.
- 39 Clues published by Scholastic
This is a great series and has a lot of suspense and mystery. I like the way different authors have their style in each book.
- ‘Secret’ Series by Pseudonymous Bosch
Its a really fun series and I like mystery in the book and way the author seems to have conversations with us, as if he is talking directly to us.
Thank you Kairavi! When can we expect the top 2000 list then?
