All of four and a half, Shruti inspired her mum, Anusha Sundar to start a library. With over a thousand books and growing, it is understandable that this bookworm’s list of specials keeps changing! For now, her favourites are:
- Frozen – A Sister More Like Me
“Elsa will do her ice magic. And I like the – Let it go- song. ” (pssst…she is a frozen fan!)
- The Fish Who Could Wish by John Bush
“He would wish everything. And he will put on a coat and go ssshhhh.”
- Cupcake by Charise Mericle Harper
“He puts the potato on the head and that’s funny”
- Aaron’s Hair by Robert Munsch
“The hair flies and becomes the daddy’s beard”
- Hello Kitty Hello World
“She goes to different places. We can see where each country is. And they show the map on the side. And she goes to our place…India”
- Hamish The Highland Cow by Natalie Russell
“Hamish has messy hair”
- I Want Two Birthdays by Tony Ross
“Because the Little Princess has a hundred birthdays.” And I also like “I want my dinner” and “I want my potty” (other books in the series)
- The Monster at the End of This Book (Sesame Street)
“The monster says – don’t open the page! And when you open the page he falls down”
- The Berenstain Bears and Too Much Junk Food
“Because I love junk food”
Thank you Anusha, for being a true reporter, and Shruti for sharing your list! May the list and library to grow by leaps and bounds.
